A building that began as a grocery store in the 1950s is now a place where you’ll find food for thought – and action – about the latest energy and environmental technologies. At our Energy Innovation Center (EIC), there are seminars
to teach you about cost-effective energy efficiency practices and energy technologies that integrate into the Smart Grid, like Home Area Networks
, renewable generation and energy storage systems.
Much like a living laboratory and classroom, every inch of the center serves as backdrop for energy-efficient ideas and thinking. Our goal is to educate visitors and inspire future energy innovation through demonstrations, seminars and training opportunities. The Energy Innovation Center is now one of only 10 buildings in the world to achieve double LEED Platinum® certification making it one of the most sustainable in the world.
