Rules for creating a service order
Crews will work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power.
If the outage is only affecting your home, we'll send a service technician. An adult (18 years of age or older) must be present when the technician arrives.
* If we find the outage is affecting more homes in addition to yours, a service technician may not come to your particular home, but will work to restore power to the area.
Please note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, if a technician is dispatched to investigate your issue they will not go inside your home for your safety as well as theirs. In addition, they will be following social distancing and face covering guidelines. We are asking customers to stay in their home or wear an appropriate face covering when interacting with our technicians. If they are unable to locate an issue with SDG&E service, which generally ends at the meter panel, they may recommend that you contact an electrician.
